Hello to all our dear patrons,
These past few days have been somewhat chaotic. First and foremost, we want to thank the entire community here on Patreon and on our Discord server. Those who have sent us all the necessary feedback to generate several fixes in the game.
This version specifically aims to address some of the performance issues with certain graphics cards. Not only will this version but the next one also have a strong focus on improving the game's reliability, stability, and efficiency.
This is a first step, but more improvements will come in future versions.
Improvements and fixes
Improved FPS for the entire game
Fixed dialogues (codes were appearing instead of text)
Fixed events when saving your game
Proper parameterization of functionalities in Unreal Engine 5
Inclusion of two files to force DirectX11 and DirectX12 (for use as needed by our players)
Known bugs
Memory overflows - We hope to cover this point soon
Certain events are not compatible between the UE4 and UE5 versions. We recommend playing the game from the beginning if you encounter any issues or playing from a point earlier in the story before the error appeared. This is due to how UE4 and UE5 handle special characters, and unfortunately, it's not something we can fix. For now, they will remain semi-compatible versions.
If you experience problems running the game please DOWNLOAD the file attached to this post and extract it's content into the same folder the Z-Island.exe file is located. Then double click on the "Force DirectX12.bat" file, if that doesn't work try the "Force DirectX11.bat" file. If game still crashes please DM us.

When following NPCs during special events, the MC's speed will be adjusted to the NPC's speed to make following easier and smoother.

Chapter 3 update
We have updated chapter 3 to version 0.3.1 which contains fixes and improvements over version 0.3.

- Now you can hide HUD with mouse wheel button during dialogues.

Bugs fixed:
- Duplicate characters at the hotel reception.
- Riz's quest marked as "work in progress" correctly.

chapter 3,
1. it contains a significant amount of improvements and new features, please keep in mind that this project is still under development and we may need to adjust some elements.

Previous saves will be compatible with this chapter. If you play from the beginning you will notice just one new character at the supermarket, everything else remains the same.

2. We will be releasing chapter 3 by the end of this month.

3. Some bugs fixed and enhancements:

a. Starting a new game will delete any previous progress properly (bug fixed)

b. Sound options in "Options" menu (enhancement)

c. Background opacity for dialogues can be changed (enhancement)

d. MANY NEW INTERACTIONS, this is a feature we've been working for a month now, we really hope you like it (new functionalities)
