March thoughts.








Hey there.

I know that I rarely write my thoughts and progress reports. Once per month. =)

It was always easier for me to talk one-to-one, or answer particular questions. Some of you who've already written to me can confirm that. =)

And when I write a post here, I think I have to say something important, some interesting information, not:
"I'm still working, writing a text, still rendering, already 480 renders, I'm here, I'm not missing".

If you feel that you don't have enough communication with me, you have questions, suggestions, tips - write to the discord, in comments here or in personal messages.

I am not hiding and I am always open to you.

As for the update - I am still working, and still think it will work out this month.

February thoughts.

Hey there.
Pause for the fourth time.

That means I haven't received any money from a patreon in four months, except for the income from people who subscribed during the pause. Special thanks to my patron Moomoo Moon.
Only because of them, I still have have some money for food. Because in November, I spent everything I had saved on new PC, and then there were pauses.

This time, I think it's the last pause.

I understand how you all feel about this situation, because I feel the same way. This update and its development taught me a good lesson.

I understand that with this speed of updates, I will be developing this game for too long.
So, I have already changed a lot in my workflow, and I have made an "update plan" for the next two years.
For myself.

Hopefully I can stick to it, or at least not get too out of schedule. But I will no longer make empty promises or say the next update dates. One thing's for sure, I'm gonna try to avoid these time-gaps in updates again.

But I know that for me there will always be a priority, not money, and not the people desire for quick updates, but the game itself.

Next month, I'll send an update to all current and former patrons who've supported me since September, according to their tiers.
I think that's fair.

Again, sorry, it didn't work out this month. So patreon paused third time.
The renders are ready, all i have to do is finish the text, the code, and after adding some more renders here and there.

I know that the update took too long and I'm not happy about that situation myself.
I don't know, I'll always be so slow, or I could get the updates done faster...
But I know for sure I'll keep working on the game. =) Slowly but surely.

Anri14b, Вы всегда можете зайти на патреон разработчика и проверить это самостоятельно, благо админы указывают все нужные ссылки в описании к игре. Но там ничего кроме новостей об обоях в высоком разрешении для особо щедрых патронов, выглядит как абсурд если честно и в целом малообещяюще.

elfmanz, делал это(аортовское) однозначно не он. Даже в игру для этого заходить необязательно. Просто смотрим на интерфейс и видим, что это два абсолютно разных человека.
Единственное, что их объединяет умение работать с тенями и скилловая пост-обработка фотошопа. Аорта - ремесленник, пусть и умелый. С этим парнем можно Дарка сравнить.

elfmanz, да вообще судя по рендерам, жанру и времени работы, что-то мне подсказывает, что этот разработчик в своё время делал The Family Secret. которая оказалась брошена, там тоже между обновами продолжительное время было, и качество рендеров было 1 в 1 как тут. Посему не слишком ожидаю продолжения этой игры. Может выпустит 1-2 версии в течении полугода, а затем забьёт.

Вот что он отвечает на просьбу увеличить его скорость работы (increase the speed of your workflow?)
It's not all about the render speed now, but about the scene creation speed.

November thoughts. Delay.

Hey there.

So, the good news, i get the new PC.
But the bad news - the update will probably be postponed for technical reasons (the new PC already had more than 10 BSODs and I'm still solving this problem) and because I came up with more scenes than I had planned in the first place, in the course of development.

And also I'm just slow in creating scenes because of my perfectionism and A LOT of work in ZBrush. Maybe one day I will do a series of articles "How I create render / scene / new character" so people can understand how much time it really takes.
But I can't blame anyone, more than year ago, I also thought it would be easier than it really is.
And in order not to upset myself, I'm gonna take extra time to make an update the way I want it to be.
And not to upset you too much, I will pause the patreon next month.

My first delay, yaaay! Hope not the last one, hah?
Just kidding, sorry. =)
I realize how lucky I am to have all of you and your support.
But also I also realize how much work, effort and time I have invested at this moment.
And I do not want to ruin either one or the other.

I know that some people think developers are like, "Hmm, how do I get all the fans angry, lose trust and part of the support and whole income for next month? Oh, I know the solution, the delay!" But that's not how it works. :slight_smile: I just want to make the update better than it is now. It will never be perfect, but...
Yes, a lot of people are waiting for an update, and this is also part of the problem.
I'm just as human as you are and I'm afraid of overestimating expectations.

I've seen cases where one update could make a part of the audience angry and distract, and I'm afraid it will happen to me. I'm trying to make the episode more intense, more extensive, and with more "content".
I know that somebody will write after update release that "not enough, and this I've been waiting for four months, meh, too short", but at least I'll know I've done everything I can.
So I'd rather lose part of my audience now than most or all of the time after a bad update.

Perhaps I should have done everything according to the original plan 2/3 in October and 3/3 in December, and not to try to chase the speed of updates, but... Next time i'll be smarter.

And the last thought, delay doesn't mean, "Well, now I'll create MEGA SUPER update!!11", nope, it's just "I'm gonna make it what it's supposed to be, in the way I see it."

А проект развивается?

И да и нет, всё воспоминания проиграть за раз нельзя, лишь в тех случаях игровых, когда какой то случай напоминает о тех или иных моментах, о чём сообщает моргающий значок книжки.
А мини игры, это не только клацанье мышкой на предметы на память:) Но и набор текста на высвечивающие буковки, как правило это пара слов. В остальном всё просто. Но как бы не говорилось в прохождении что это на что то повлияет, не на что это, сейчас, не влияет. Так что кусочки этого пазла не больше чем кусочки контента, не увидев которого, не чём не жалеешь, не чего не теряешь. Как игра обрывается в одном месте, так и обрывается.


А обнова, это картинок 30-50 которые: 1. Несут характер "С места в карьер". 2. С натягом назвать, плюс игровой день. Такое.
Направление понравилось, но развитие разочаровывает.

Игра не сломалась-просто эти мини игры реально бесят. Насколько я помню там вроде нужно жмакать появляющиеся картинки очень быстро мышкой. Они появляются в разных областях на страницах альбома

Подскажите, как пройти второе воспоминание там где "Type!"? Всё пережмакал на клаве и "тупе" набирал, и задом наперёд. Может игра сломалась или я тупе?

I hope you liked the new wallpapers, I did nine different scenes before got what I wanted...

Work on the game continues, and I honestly tried to finish full episode in this month, but I guess I overestimated my abilities a little bit.
I made most scenes for 2/3 and some scenes from the end of the episode, but I won't have time to connect them this month.
Of course, it's much easier for me to do the whole episode instead of breaking it into pieces, mostly because I can "polish" it, make it more complete, add little things here and there.
So I decided to ask you what's better - 2/3 this month, or the full episode next month.
Poll for 5$+ is here.
2/3 ~ 200 renders
2/3 + 3/3 ~ 400 renders
So in full II Episode will be 231 (1/3) + 400 (2/3 + 3/3) = ~ 630 renders. ( There were 560 images in the first episode. )
But of course if you give me a chance to finish the episode next month, without being distracted by the 2/3 release, I'll try to do little more renders.
Of course, it's up to you to decide.

Инцест патч. Что такое инцест надо объяснять? На патреоне страницы с инцест играми банят, поэтому разработчики делают патч отдельно. В данной игре этот патч желателен, так как без него сюжет будет не понятен. В играх на рен пай патчи обычно необходимо поместить в папку game

можете подсказать что значит incest patch?
