So here we are, the final version of our second visual novel MELODY.

It’s been a great journey for us to be able to create, complete and deliver this game to you since we first began working on it in February 2018.

During the creation of this VN, we’ve been able to try some new things out, use some new locations, new poses, animations, and set the menu up much differently to our first game.

We’ve always maintained that these are visual novels first, and a game second. This story has always been about the early part of Melody’s career in music,

and depending on the choices that you the main character has made for her and yourself, will determine what kind of career and future she has by the conclusion of the game.

What we’ve fixed and added into this update

- Numerous spelling, grammar errors. There may be a blend of American and British (and even Australian) English used throughout the game.

We do our best to keep you all happy ;)

- The Sophia/Xianne relationship decision in Week 9. This initially caused a problem for Week 14 where you had to manually change the relationship status in order to get the MFFF scene. That has been fixed now. Be sure to read the Walkthrough to see which relationships need to be Unlocked to get this scene in Week 14.

- We’ve added thirteen more Melody points to the game, and they are highlighted in Purple in the Walkthrough. These points will give you enough to reach the 400 point target.

By doing so, you can view a “Special Bonus Scene” which will play after the Perfect Ending concludes. Please refer to the Walkthrough on how to get this bonus ending.

- Added music to Weeks 1-12 in the game, and some new live tracks

- Eight new renders added to the Lewd Gallery (for $20+ members)

- Replaced some renders that had previous issues

- Improved the audio on certain live tracks

- Fixed the wall painting scene with Becca in Week 6

- Added a non-anal sex scene with Isabella in Week 5

We have also added in:

- A Replay Gallery into the main menu. Here you can view all the main sex scenes from Weeks 1-14 in the game.

NOTE: The sex scenes from the game endings will not feature here however.

Unfortunately, we ran out of time to add two more special scenes to the Fantasy Scenes gallery. If we find some time in the future, then we may still add them in as the scenes have already been written up for them.

If you haven’t played the final week of the game yet, then it will be vitally important which girls you have set to “LOCKED” or “UNLOCKED” in the main menu for this update especially, as it will determine which game endings you will get to see at the end of the game.

If you have the Walkthrough it will explain exactly what you need to do or what will be required for you to attain, or to avoid certain endings.

Just keep in mind that if you lock or unlock specific paths in this update, then some of the storylines may not make sense.

So for instance, if you’ve already decided to be with Melody, and Sophia is locked, then unlocking Sophia will give you dialogue if you are dating both girls instead of just Melody. And it might mean that you’ll get one ending instead of another.
Final Words

We really do hope that anyone who has played “Melody” enjoyed her journey, or has taken something good away from the experience.

It was a project that when we began working on it, we really had no idea how well it would be received, or just how many people would be interested in a music-themed visual novel. As sad as we are to say goodbye to this game and that Melody’s journey has finally come to an end, we’re also very excited by the prospect of delivering our new game to you in early-2020.

Melody has exceeded our expectations, and we’ve certainly learned a lot from making this game, so much so that we believe it will be beneficial in the production of our new project, and any others that we create in the future. Not many developers complete their games, but we also know that achieving this would not have been possible without the encouragement, love and support from you all.
Again, a huge thanks to anyone who has supported us during its production, and we sincerely hope you will continue to do so for our next project.

It’s our pleasure today to be able to officially release Version 13 (Week 14) of our current visual novel MELODY!

This update as you are probably aware by now is the FINAL WEEK of you and Melody’s journey.

It’s been a long but thoroughly enjoyable adventure for us to create and to share with you all. As we’ve mentioned in previous game day posts, the start of this visual novel was brought about due to unique circumstances, and put together within a few short weeks of its inception.

During the creation of this VN, we’ve been able to try some new things out, use some new locations, new poses, animations, and set the menu up much differently to our first game.

We’ve always maintained that these are visual novels first, and a game second. This story has always been about the beginnings of Melody’s career in music, and depending on the choices that you the main character has made for her and yourself, will determine what kind of career and future she has by games end.

This update contains several new renders, more animations (for $20+ members), and the Lewd Gallery will have eight new pictures included

(more on this below in the Lewd Gallery section).

Most of the previous bugs or errors that you guys have listed on our page or on the unofficial discord have been amended for this release.

We mentioned last month that we will be spending December to fix up all the errors and plot holes that still exist within the early parts of the game.

Thank you again to all of you who have sent through any errors over the past couple of months. It really is a huge help!

In this update, it will be vitally important which girls you have set on “LOCKED” or “UNLOCKED” in the main menu for this update especially, as it will determine which game endings you will get to see at the end of the game.

Scenes with audio

Again we have added audio for this week of the game and the special endings, and for our December release, we will add music into every other week of the game (finally!!).

For those of you who are new to this VN or if you are only playing it for the very first time, you will notice music playing as soon as the game loads. However, once you begin the game, you won’t hear any music, as it hasn’t been added to most of the scenes between Weeks 1 and 11 - apart from the live music and music lesson scenes with Melody.

As mentioned above, we will add music to the rest of the game before we release our final ever version of Melody in late-December.

As always, there are a few more live songs added for the scenes where Melody plays on stage, as well as some song lyrics that a big fan of ours (Jordan George) had written up and asked if we could use in the story. These lyrics will feature during one of the game endings (so keep an eye out for that!)

About this update (SPOILER ALERT)

The stage is now set for you to help MELODY become a music superstar. But have you done everything possible as her lover and her manager to make sure nothing goes wrong in this final week?

Have you attained enough Melody points to ensure you’ve got all seven keys before Week 14 ends?

Can you also resist temptation from another, just as you’re on the brink of having a big future with Melody in the music industry?

What kind of future were you envisioning with your beloved? Could a huge career for her not be where destiny takes you both in the future?

Maybe you could get an extra surprise for your relationship that you never managed to have with your ex?

If you are dating Melody and seeing her best friend SOPHIA, then you will know by now what the benefits are of seeing both girls at once!

But can it last forever? Sophia has already outlined to you her own ambitions and dreams that she’d like to pursue away from music in the future, and depending on what path you are on, will determine what she decides to do with her own career.

And with XIANNE having put the moves on Melody (sexually speaking) in the last update if you are on her path, and also having a thing for Sophia (again if you chose that path), where does that leave you in the grand scheme of things?

Is it even remotely possible for you to have some kind of relationship with all three girls?

NOTE: The NEW target amount to aim for, in order to get the seventh and final key has been reduced to 385 points.

In our final update at the end of the year, there will be a special scene that you can get if you gain all 400 points on offer, which will be the new highest possible total after the December release.

Game Endings

In this final update, there will be THREE different endings, with a slight variation on one of those, depending on what choices you make in this final week of the game.

There is one Bad Ending, one Good Ending (with two different outcomes, depending on choices made), and one Perfect Ending.

In saying that, you may find that one of the two Good Endings to the game is your idea of perfection, which is what we were hoping for when we created these conclusions.

Again, if you have trouble finding any of these endings or require more Melody points, then please use the walkthrough if you have it.

We may add another ending to the game in the December update, but we haven’t made a final decision on that as yet.

Lewd Gallery

For this month, the gallery will have eight brand-new designs featuring Melody, Sophia and Xianne.

These will be available to view for our $10+ Patreon members, and a new special gallery code will be provided in one of the other posts that I’ve put up today.

Final Words
Just to reiterate, there will be one final update of Melody which we will work on during the month of December - with our other game being worked on and released in November.

What we are looking to do is to give the game one final polish, working on and adding things that we didn’t have the time to while the game has been in progress.

When you only have four or five weeks to work on an update like we allow ourselves, not everything is going to be perfect, or the way you hoped it would turn out.

But we get pretty darn close to how we want it each time the game has been updated.

Had we decided to take more time working on each week of the game before releasing an update, just to fix any of these minor errors that pop up, then Melody probably wouldn’t have been completed until later next year. We feel that overall, this was always the better way to do things, as it guarantees you guys an update every single month (aside from when we have a break of course), rather than you guys getting one every three or four months.

December will give us a whole month to fully focus on getting the game as perfect as possible, and to also add in some scenes that we didn’t have time to put in there the first time around.

We are looking at adding in a special scene gallery, similar to what we applied to Chapter 1 of DMD when we took a month to add some special features.
A replay scene gallery has also been discussed, as is adding some bonus “deleted” and “extra” scenes that we weren’t able to add into the final cut of the game.
So expect to see some scenes and “combinations” that you probably didn’t think would ever be possible! ;)
As mentioned above, the final release will mean the game will have music running from start to finish.
One of our biggest regrets was not being able to have music in there from the start. But creating these recent updates and applying audio to each scene now has us well-prepared for when we start our third game in the new year.

MELODY v14 will be released in late December, hopefully before Christmas Day, but we’ll see how we go.

You’ve taken a huge step in asking MELODY to move in with you, but are you ready to tell her aunt Amy about the two of you dating?
How will she react? Now that you have more control over Melody’s career, you will also be tasked with putting together her full live band together before her next tour.

If you are dating Melody and seeing her best friend SOPHIA, you are no doubt wondering what will happen after what took place in the girls’ hotel room the night before. Will Melody be more open to doing things with both you and Sophia during this week? There’s only one way to find out!
You won’t get to see XIANNE or have any fun with her this week, however, that doesn’t matter someone else can’t!
If you’re on her path, then keep an eye out for a special offer Xianne makes to a certain “someone” later on in the week…
AMY and REBECCA as promised will return this week, and plenty will be revealed in the next part of your relationship with the girls, depending on which girl you decided to be with.

If you were on the Melody friendship path, and dating either Amy, Rebecca or even Isabella, then you will find out not only what the MC whispered to Melody before he seemingly left town with Bethany, but also why you the MC, didn’t end up returning home with your ex.

Game Endings
As you may well know by now, the end of MELODY is almost upon us, which means that some of the paths in the game will be coming to a conclusion.
There are TWO MORE ENDINGS in this update. Again, if you have trouble locating them, then please use the walkthrough if you have it.
Our apologies for the bug in last months update, that unfortunately led some of you to the Bethany ending. That has been fixed now.
If you are looking for either of the two new added endings, then we suggest that you start the game from just before Bethany arrives at the MC’s apartment at the end of Week 12.

As we said last week, please keep in mind that just because specific characters paths are coming to an end, it doesn’t necessarily mean that they won’t feature later on in the game in some capacity ;) ;)
