I've done some pruning of dialogue and text that felt redundant or didn't contribute much to the story or character development. This should help keep the pacing nice and tight (and hopefully no save issues!).

About that VO...

I know some of you might be wondering what happened to the voice-over. Here's the deal: I really felt that the quality wasn't quite hitting the mark I want for this game. I actually did release a version of v0.2 with all the VO finished, but after some reflection, I believe the game is best enjoyed without it. So, I've made the decision to remove all existing VO from the game.

Potential issues with existing save files

Quick heads up about save files! I've made some minor behind-the-scenes code tweaks to prevent potential save file corruption in future updates. While I don't anticipate major problems, the safest approach is to create a new save file and quickly replay through the game, recreating any previous key choices you've made. This should help you sidestep any potential compatibility hiccups.
Sylvia's "Rumor" Scene 2.0: I've completely revamped the "rumor" scene with Sylvia (not just replacing the old model with the new). For those who've already played v0.2, you can check out this new scene in the gallery.
Bonus chapter (viewable in the gallery):focusing on Sylvia, the hot Spanish teacher (and a "surprise" character). Approximately 8,000 words, which translates to roughly 20-30 minutes of extra gameplay.

v0.2 Beta - Rebooted!

It’s been a long time coming, but I’m thrilled to finally release the v0.2 Beta of Confessions of a Sassy Girl - rebooted!

This is a beta release featuring all the content planned for v0.2, except for the Voice Over (VO), which will be added in a separate final update. This approach allows me to gather valuable player feedback and make any necessary adjustments before committing to the VO, which can be quite time-consuming to edit and re-record.

This release marks a significant shift for Confessions of a Sassy Girl. It’s essentially a full reboot, with most images, sprites, and even some character aspects completely revamped. While the core story and my original vision remain, I’ve streamlined the pacing and restructured some story arcs to create a more engaging and impactful experience. I understand that this might not be what some players were expecting based on v0.1, and I sincerely apologize for any disappointment. However, I believe this reboot represents a substantial improvement and better reflects the direction I want to take Confessions of a Sassy Girl.
Revamped visuals: Most sprites and images have undergone a complete makeover.
New characters: Exciting new faces have been introduced.
Character adjustments: Brenda has undergone some subtle changes, and certain characters (like Kevin) have been toned down to create a more balanced and enjoyable experience.
Story progression: a deeper focus on character development. You’ll witness how Jessica challenges Ami’s boundaries and pushes her to grow in unexpected ways.
