Episode 3 - 2023-11-26
Painful Memories - The spring carnival provided a glimmer of light, and possibly hope, on the fractured relationship with your sister. But no matter how far you've traveled, the scars from old wounds never truly fade. And when your friend begins digging into those resurfaced memories, you may discover just how connected you all are.
Here is Part 1 of Episode 3, which has been broken into two halves. Don't worry- while there may be some unresolved story, Part 1 is a sizeable update and not meant to leave you on a large cliffhanger. Here's what else you can expect:

Ep.2 v1.1 Full+Bonus
1) This does not add any additional content from [v1.0]. There were some minor dialogue fixes and new UI features added.
2) The game has been rebuilt in a newer version of Ren'py to address some video playback issues. As far as I could tell, it did not affect saved games.
3) If you've already played [v1.0] and you're not interested in replaying/testing the game with new features before the Ep3 release, then you can skip this update.
Notable New Features:

Character Icons: (optional) During text dialogue you'll see a small icon of the person speaking.
Choice Assistant: (optional) Hints for most choices on how they affect the story going forward.

Episode 2 v0.26 - 2023-06-06
Here's the EP2[v0.26] release, which includes all of Ep1 and the first half of Ep2 in one zip. The entire Ep2 will be approximately 50% larger than Ep1.

The first episode was mostly for creating the groundwork that the rest of the series will build on. How the story, character development, and relationship building take place in Ep2 will be much closer to what you can expect in future releases, and has a different feel than the unlucky chain of events that took place to start out the series.

Episode 1 v1.0
This update finalizes the episode with 30k words, 900 images, game audio, some new content, and updated images & dialogue. For those that have played a previous version (the last one being v0.36), you will notice a lot of improvements to where it may almost feel like a new game.

So what's next?
Work on Episode 2 is already underway and I'm targeting a Spring 2023 release.

What to Expect
Trouble at Home is an Adult Visual Novel that follows you, the male main protagonist, in a "slice of life" teenage theme around school and relationships. There will be an emphasis on character interactions, humor (sometimes crude and dark), drama, and some romance. Sexual situations will occur throughout that will be heavily influenced by your choices, and will increase in some capacity as the game/story progresses in future episodes.

Game choices follow two rules: 1) Every choice serves some purpose; and 2) there are no strictly right/wrong options. Some choices may boost your confidence or a relationship status. But while every decision isn't necessarily good or bad, they will determine variable story paths and opportunities available to you either immediately, long-term, or both.

Episode 1 [v1.0] is native 1080p, 30k words, 900 images, and includes music & sound effects. This first episode sets the focus on the MC, the new problems he faces, and the path to overcoming them. You are introduced to many of the supporting cast, and foundations are started for some of the love interests available as the story unfolds.

10 total episodes have been outlined for the first full season, which will explore many paths and love interests. This game contains mature content that's not suitable for all viewers, including nudity, sexual situations, violence, harsh language, and drug use.

Sexual Content
Current and planned releases include: Anal, BDSM, Group, Harem, Lesbian, Masturbation, MILF, Oral, Teen, Voyeurism. Additional content may be developed in the future.

In-game choices will affect what may be available to you, and allow you to steer into or away from some fetish content if you choose.

Patreon will be the primary site that allows this project to continue. If you've subscribed to independent creators there in the past, or are interested in doing so, I encourage you to consider supporting there first. All patrons receive first access to new updates/releases, as well as other perks such as Bonus Content.

Bonus Content was created as an exclusive add-on perk for Patreon members. It contains extra scenes from other characters' perspectives when the MC is not present. Some are real events while others are imaginary situations made up by the NPCs.

This content is completely optional for extra entertainment, often includes NSFW content, and is not required to play the main game.
