Sorry it's late! Scarlet was supposed to release last month, and this was supposed to release on the 16th, and now I've got hentai university to do, and my final school term... Geez, someday I'm gonna learn how to properly manage my time. Honestly, I just hope you all enjoy being able to play Typhoid Mary.
There were a lot of features cut for time:
Better hiding for items you need to snoop for, and a chance at getting caught while snooping, people disliked the subtle text mechanic from Scarlet Mansion and given the tight timeframe of this scenario to reduce the amount of chatting / movement I'd have to track, I couldn't find a way to do this.
An epilogue where you / keith have a short snippet transforming into different strains based on what you did across the scenario
Angela's personal fantasy diary that she'd read while using the knotted dildo, this one I just kinda writer's blocked on.
Non WS variations for the cafeteria and Amy's sabotage ending scenes
Player dialogue difference if you let Monica go, I actually wanted to go for a slower descent, but a lot of these scenes were written at like 7am across several days so I didn't think it'd work out or be consistent.
Alternate tyler infection where you're doing the work instead of Lisa, this one would involve tracking extra flags and increase testing time
The metal cage's key breaking off leaving you trapped inside, this would involve extra flags, again, and in order to reduce my workload I'd probably end up subconciously avoiding having the player directly fuck someone so that I wouldn't have to write a caged variation of a bunch of scenes.
Random short fluff encounters that occur around the base, like stumbling onto Lisa exercising or Amy in the showers. Random encounters require a lot of testing and can cause things to break.
Other survivors not required for the infection ending, like a pregnant woman or a stablekeeper. If I ever do add these girls it'll probably be in a secondary attached compound you can visit.

A very short changelog, but scarlet mansion has like 21 scenes so I'm not to sad about that. The commissioned scene was written a while back and can be viewed as basically a preview for Typhoid Mary. Just like with previous scenarios feel free to use the pool noodle cheat if stuck.
So, Scarlet Mansion! This one is definitely an oddball compared to other scenarios. For one, there are no bad ends. This is because a lot of the mansion's design was laid out before the game had a quicksave system (which should tell how how far some pieces of this scenario were thought up). For those of you who liked the bad ends though don't worry, I ultimately decided to include some, they just didn't make it in in time. That combined with the fact that a lot of scenes are of other people's fates means that this plays very differently than something like The Facility.
Now, this scenario uses a new mechanic! If you're stuck somewhere the administrator's bedroom has a memo with a hint for what that new mechanic is. If you're having trouble finding a certain set of somethings...
secret tape locations
Balcony, west wing hallway, east wing hallway, main hall. The way down to the basement is in the storage closet.
There was an absolute ton of stuff left on the cutting room floor, I'm literally crying right now. At least it means there's more to come, right? Don't go looking into the script files and spoiling yourself! Or do, if you really want, it's a mess though. Unused events are in the sceneList.js near the bottom in the writeEvent function. My plan is to have the option to disable all electronics in the mansion for some collectible goodies, exposing yourself to danger unless you went out and lewded all the infected already. Then an alternate ending in this "dark mansion".
There was a chase scene through the mansion that was also cut, but I'm not sure I'll bring that one in. The ending feels sudden, but I couldn't figure out how to make the main villain an intelligent queen, so she ends up being... The way she currently is. Sorry if it's disappointing, lemme know what you'd do with her instead!
v3 - Spread Island Part 2

Alrighty! So this version wraps up v3. As I said last week I'll be taking a break from rainy now to work on other titles, specifically HAA. Overall I hope you enjoy what's here.
Originally I disliked adding content to scenario 1 as the need to restart every cycle was pretty tedious. Since the quicksave system makes retrying a lot faster I've been thinking maybe I should go back and add to the scenarios I currently have before hopping to scenarios 4 and 5. What're your thoughts? What kind of new stuff would you like to see?
At the end of any period working on rainy I usually feel a little burnt out on the concept as there's only so many ways for me to make dickgirl zombies feel fresh, but when I come back to the game after a break scenes will feel a lot easier to write.

v2.5 - Spread Island Part 1

One person in the zone thread couldn't get it to work, but I can't replicate the issue. If this happens to you, please let me know!

As a note the typos OrangeMaestro found were actually in this release, I actually tend to post releases on the discord a few days early for testing. One of those issues was a scene was completely missing all it's text! Without those testers my releases would be a lot lower quality, so thank you to anyone who's ever popped in to test something for me.
I mostly covered a general update of my current to-do list earlier, so I don't have a ton to say. If you look in the code a bunch of bits and pieces of the rest of spread island are written, but I still have bits (specifically scenes) left to write. I'll be releasing v3 next Friday, so feel free to wait until then if you'd rather play it all at once.
After that Rainy DayZ will be back on the shelf for a while. It's actually pretty weird to be working on Rainy while also writing HAA at the same time, that's how it used to be when I was just getting started. Did you know rainy used to be a minigame in HAA?
Rainy DayZ v2.1 - The Facility Overhaul

- 10 new scenes to unlock for The Facility, meaning there are more total than in scenario 1
- The Facility has been redesigned a little to allow for more neat ideas and puzzle-esque elements.
- Also added two more email blurbs, one in the chemical lab hinting at stuff in Spread Island & Scarlet Mansion, the other in the new lobby.

- You can now save to and load from .noodle files in the game settings menu. Just like with my other games this system was made by Master of Puppets / Wild Bill, thank you!
- New cheat code: Pool Noodle - This will give you a list of the scenes you haven't unlocked yet. NOTE: This will also display the currently unobtainable scenes from spread island I haven't finished yet.
